SHE WAS CHARTERED TO SHAW SAVILL & CO BETWEEN 1871 AND 1876 FROM W SHIRES OF ABERDEEN. SHE MADE SEVENTEEN VOYAGES FROM THE UK TO NEW ZEALAND BETWEEN 1871 AND 1876 UNDER THE SHAW SAVILLL & CO CHARTER. HER MAIN PORT WAS DUNDEDIN BUT IN HER TIME SHE ALSO VISITED AUCKLAND, WELLINGTON, NELSON, NAPIER AND LYTTELTON
IN 1880 SHE WAS PURCHASED BY J LESLIE ( SHIPS MASTER AT ONE TIME ) FROM W SHIRES
IN 1888 SHE HIT THE REEF NEAR RED ROCK IN LYTTLETON HARBOUR AND BEGAN TO SETTLE, DESPITE THE EFFORTS OF A TUG TO PULL HER OF THE REEF.
AS SHE WAS IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION A LIGHTER CAME ALONG SIDE AND BEGAN TO DISCHARGE HER CARGO,BUT AFTER TWO OR THREE DAYS THE SHIP WAS ABANDONED.HER HULK WAS EVENTUALLY SOLD

SHE WAS SOLD IN 1863 OR 1864 TO KIDSON & CO AND RE REGISTERED IN GLASGOW. SHE WAS USED ON THE GLASGOW TO NEW ZEALAND ROUTE WITH CAPTAIN SMITH IN COMMAND
