CAPTAIN J ATTRIDGE IN COMMAND
IN 1857 SHE MADE A VOYAGE FROM LIVERPOOL TO MELBOURNE
25TH JUNE 1858 SHE MADE A VOYAGE FROM LIVERPOOL TO SYDNEY WITH CAPTAIN G RUDOLPH
IN COMMAND ( THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE WHITE STAR LINE CHARTERED VOYAGE )
A VESSEL OF 1,355 TONS CALLED HERALD OF THE MORNING LEFT ( UK ) 10TH MARCH 1858
AND ARRIVED 23RD JUNE 1858 ( SAME VESSEL AND SAME VOYAGE AS THE ABOVE )
ON 9TH AUGUST 1858 SHE MADE A VOYAGE FROM MELBOURNE TO CALLAO
ON 5TH NOVEMBER ( THIS MUST HAVE BEEN HER ARRIVAL DATE AT HOBSONS BAY ) 1859 SHE
MADE A VOAYGE FROM LIVERPOOL TO MELBOURNE CARRYING 419 PASSENGERS
SHE CAUGHT FIRE ON 15TH NOVEMBER 1859 WHILE AT ANCHOR IN HOBSONS BAY HER HULK
WAS SCUTTLED AT DONALDSONS JETTY AROUND 1889

SHE WAS SOLD TO ARENDAL OF NORWAY IN 1879 AND CONVERTED TO A BARQUE
SHE WAS SOLD IN 1890 TO W J SMITH
DISAPPERARED FROM REGISTRY ABOUT 1891
IT MAY SEEM SUSPICIOUS THAT BOTH VESSELS WERE 1,294 TONS, BUT IT IS CORRECT
FOR REFERENCE ONLY AND TO AID IDENTIFICATION OF THE WHITE STAR LINE CHARTERED VESSEL ( BOTH VESSELS WERE A SIMILAR SIZE AND BOTH BUILT WITHIN A YEAR OF EACH OTHER ) THIS VESSEL AS FAR AS I AM AWARE HAD NO CONNECTION WITH THE WHITE STAR LINE
