BUCKINGHAMSHIRE WAS A IRON VESSEL OF 1,466 TONS BUILT BY BARCLAY CURLE & CO  IN 1868 AND OWNED BY G MARSHALL & SONS OF LONDON AND HAD BEEN REGISTERED IN LONDON 

SHE WAS CHARTERED BY SHAW SAVILLE & CO IN 1874, SAILING FROM LONDON IN MARCH OF 1874 AND ARRIVING IN OTAGO ON THE 6TH JUNE 1874, WITH EMIGRANTS AND SOME GENERAL CARGO.THE SHIPS CAPTAIN ON THIS VOYAGE WAS CAPTAIN R HARLAND.SHE WAS ALSO COMMANDED BY CAPTAIN T PAIN AT SOME STAGE
