SHE WAS CHARTERED BY THE WHITE STAR LINE FROM THE BRITISH SHIPOWNERS CO.LTD FOR A VOYAGE TO MELBOURNE IN JANUARY 1871 UNDER THE COMMAND OF CAPTAIN BROWN
14TH NOVEMBER 1889 SHE MADE A VOYAGE FROM MONTE
VIDEO TO PORT ADELAIDE ARRIVING 6TH JANUARY 1890
CAPTAIN PETERSON WAS POSSIBLY IN COMMAND FOR THIS VOYAGE - I AM NOT 100% SURE IF
THIS INFORMATION REGARDING THIS VOYAGE IS ACCURATE BECAUSE SHE WOULD HAVE
BEEN SAILING UNDER THE NAME LOUISE BY THIS TIME - THOU ITS ACCURATE TO SAY A
VESSEL CALLED BRITISH PRINCESS DID MAKE SUCH A VOYAGE
IN 1883 SHE WAS AQUIRED BY GRACIE BEAZLEY. SHE WAS LATER SOLD TO A GERMAN CONCERN WHO NAMED HER LOUSIE
THERE IS SOME CONFUSION REGARDING THIS VESSEL THERE ARE REPORTS THAT SHE WAS BUILT IN 1875 AND WAS A VESSEL OF 1,480 / 1,550 TONS.THE REASON FOR THIS ERROR IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT SHE WAS LENGHENED IN 1875 AND HER SIZE INCREASED TO 1,480 TONS
ITS LED TO THE BELIEF THAT THERE WERE TWO SHIPS AT THIS TIME CALLED BRITISH PRINCESS WHICH IS I THINK NOT CORRECT
THE TOP PICTURE IS ATRIBUTED TO THE SUSPOSED VESSEL BUILT IN 1875 AND THE BELOW TO THE VESSEL BUILT IN 1864 - BOTH ARE IN FACT THE SAME VESSEL

OWNERS CO.SHE WAS OPERATED BY THE AMERICAN LINE FOR MOST OF HER LIFE BETWEEN
LIVERPOOL AND PHILADELPHIA.
SHE WAS SOLD IN 1894 AND RENAMED 'LES ALPES' OPERATED BY THE SOCIETE GENERALE DE
TRANSPORTS MARITIMES
SHE WAS SCAPPED IN 1910
SHE WAS NEVER CHARTERED BY THE WHITE STAR LINE - FOR REFERECNE ONLY - SHE WAS VERY SIMILIAR TO THE BRITISH KING & THE BRITISH QUEEN WHICH WERE CHARTERED BY SHAW SAVILL & ALBION
